"WAITING LIST".

 

We are working hard to build teams to send to:

AAU NATIONAL SCHOLASTIC DUALS

in Ft. Lauderdale

June 25th - 28th, 2025*

*Travel potentially is between June 23rd - June 30th, 2025 

 

This year we have used the AAU Girls State - ALL STAR High School Division,

as a grand wrestle off for the first three teams' spots.

THIS WAITING LIST WILL BE UTILIZED TO FILL IN MISSING WEIGHTS, ALT SPOTS, AND FILL OUR FULL PROGRESSIVE TEAM.

We hope this affords as many girls the opportunity as possible!

Should you be offered a "Team Spot" on the first two teams there will be a deposit, and total costs will be approximately $1300**.

*This cost is not locked in. Once locked in it may go down, but never goes up

*Most of our girls have been extremely successful in using the sponsorship letters to cover costs.

The more work they put in to fundraise the closer to free the trip becomes for them.

 

Team Fee Includes:

1. Over Night Stay and Team Camp at Grand View University 

(includes dinner)

2. Round Trip Air Line Tickets

(Fly out and return as a team)

4. Transportation while on the trip

(Team Vans, Tolls, Parking, and Gas)

5. Team Entry Fee

6. Beach Resort Accommodations

7. Team Iowa Girls Cut Singlet

8. Team Iowa Shirt

9. Team Iowa Girls Cut Shorts

10. 1- After weigh in Team Dinner

11. Jungle Queen Dinner Cruise

12. Additional Team Adventure TBD

 

There is a maximum effort to align this trip in a similar mentality and way as a school-based trip.

Safety, precautions, and expectations are to be understood.

If you are able to be placed on the 4th team, that coach will help organize costs, team fee, efforts on stay, and travel. 

Parent's Travel: We have had plenty of great parents travel along with the team. With the two teams in the past, it should be understood that the athlete is there with the team and to wrestle.

While in down time you may make arrangements to visit parks or see sites with your athlete,

but it is highly encouraged to allow the athlete to participate with the excursions with their teammates.

It truly adds to the experience and the girls truly enjoy these opportunities together. 

We will not be making any arrangements for parents up front.

As this only adds costs, additional deposits, and we have had issues with repayment in the past. 

 

If you have the opportunity to participate on the third team,

it is highly encouraged to help that coach facilitate, chaperone, and assist in any way possible.

PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE ON STATUS OF TEAMS

We will not know placements, spots, alts, or even if there is enough interest for a third team until well after AAU Girls State.
